Instead, aim to exercise most days of the week for at least 30 minutes. 2. Be Smart When Throwing a Party When throwing a party people usually supply lots of “goodies”; crisps, chocolate, sausages, chips etc! Now that you’ve achieved healthy weight loss don’t be sucked in to gaining back the pounds; if you are throwing a party in your home take the time to plan delicious food that is healthier than those normally found at such soirees. Crisps can be of the baked variety, chocolate can have high coca content and you can cook tasty appetisers that your guests will love but won’t ruin your new waistline! 3. Eat Small Quantities Although you may organise a healthy dinner party, don’t expect everyone else will too. If you find yourself at a party, surrounded by tempting, unhealthy food, you should remember that unless you eat large quantities you won’t regain the weight that easily. So treat yourself to a few items on the table, the important thing is that you know when to stop. 4. After Dinner Appropriate Exercise It’s important to check that you’re not eating because you are bored or stressed. If you’ve had a bad day, don’t reach for the biscuit tin, go for a walk instead or meet a friend for a chat. You may not feel like exercising at the time but you will feel so much better afterwards. 5. A Regular Diet By making a healthy breakfast each morning, packing a healthy lunch for work and having a planned healthy meal each evening, you will minimise the potential for snacking on junk food. Make sure that you bring plenty of fruit, nuts and seeds for snacking on in work. If you know you’re going to be home late some evenings make a healthy meal the day before and pop it in the oven when you get home from work.
